Welcome to Simple n' Delight!

I created Simple n’ Delight as a space for women who want a quieter, healthier, more intentional way of living. This didn’t start as a philosophy. It became one out of necessity.

After being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, I was forced to slow down in a way I never had before. Energy became limited. Stress became something my body could no longer carry the same way. And the small, everyday choices—what I used on my skin, what I brought into my home, how I spent my time—started to matter much more.

This space is where I share what I’m learning as I rebuild life with more care, more awareness, and less excess.

About Eva

I’m Eva Petruzziello, a public elementary school teacher, mother of two, and the creator of Simple n’ Delight.

I’ve always been drawn to learning—languages, travel, and understanding how people live well in different parts of the world. Alongside my work in education, I’ve spent over two decades practicing yoga and exploring mindfulness, movement, and holistic approaches to health.

For years, I was interested in natural living. But after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, that interest became something much deeper.

I had to pay closer attention—to my energy, my environment, and the products I was using every day.

Recovery has shifted my priorities.

I’m no longer interested in doing more, buying more, or optimizing everything. I’m more interested in:

  • Choosing products that are genuinely safer and simpler
  • Creating a home that feels calm, not just clean
  • Dressing in a way that supports a changing body
  • Building routines that respect my energy instead of pushing past it

This site reflects that shift.

You’ll also find product recommendations—but they come through a more critical lens than before.

How I Choose What to Share

I no longer recommend products just because they’re popular or “clean” on the surface.

What I look for now:

  • Safer ingredients and fewer unnecessary additives
  • Practical use in real daily life
  • Products I would use in my own home, especially during recovery

Some links may be affiliate links, but they don’t determine what I share. If something doesn’t feel right, I don’t include it.

A Slower Approach

This is not a high-output lifestyle blog.

I write when I have something real to say—often drawn from small moments in daily life, the same structure I follow in my weekly writing practice .

You won’t find perfection here. You’ll find observations, adjustments, and a gradual shift toward living better with less.
